The good old days… not too much TV, no WII’s or Xboxes, cell phones and more. When kids played outside (even on cold winter days).

Playing outside should not be a thing of the past.

One game I remember playing outside, excluding inside games such as Pac-Man on the Atari:

Blikaspaai

Players required: 3 or more

Take an empty can, add a couple of small stones and secure the opening. Now you have a rattling device that should be, to an extend indestructible – your “blikaspaai”

1. One player will be the “on” player – waiting at a spot where the can “blikaspaai” is kept.
2. The remaining players must hide.
3. The “on” player counts for +- 20 seconds and then start searching for the other players.
4. If a “hiding” player is found, (by the “on player”) he/she needs to wait at the spot where the “blikaspaai” is kept. Lets call the found player a “tagged” player.
5. The remaining players can free the “tagged” player (or players) by getting the “blikaspaai” (without being tagged) and throwing it away from the "blikaspaai" spot.
6. Once all the “hiding” players are found, a new player will be the “on” player.
